if you go to an emergency room and cancel services do you still have to pay bill?
friend got something in throat but was able to get it out will waiting in the emergency room so she went up and cancelled the appt at the desk since she got it out on her own ( she never saw a doctor or went to the back just filled out paperwork ,, they took her blood pressure and sent her out to sit and wait ) ,, but yet they still billed her insurance and now still want her to pay also... 150.00 does she have to pay??
You can have your friend contact the insurance company and state a refusal topay on the grounds that service and treatment were never given. Waited too long, left, etc. You do not have to pay if you were not treated.
Contact the hospital first, and ask them to remove the charges based on no treatment given, then contact your insurance company.
