negligence in hospital?
zeke went to the ER complain left arm pain sick to his stomach, was sweating and clammy and had shallow breathing, Jeff the nurse took his blood pressure and pulse, both of which were elevated and the nurse did not record the results in Zeke's chart. after that Zeke was examined by the nurse practitioner, who looked at his left arm but did not obtain any other medical or physical history. after the nurse practitioner consult the attending ER physician, both of them agreed and diagnose Zeke problem of a sprain due to overuse arm and treat it with over-the -counter pain reliever, ice and rest. zeke went home and 2 hours later his wife found him unconscious on the bathroom floor of their home. he arrived back to the hospital by ambulance. attempts to resuscitate him from cardiac arrest were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead of myocardial infarction and sudden cardiac death.
