Help me help my friend?
My friend is very bossy and some might call a princess. She had a fiance that got her a 3,000 rock after dating for just 2 months. I told her it was way too soon. He did everything for her, like clean the house, mow the grass, and walk her dogs. She didn't "allow" him to hang out with his buddies, whom he's been friends with since he was a child. He paid her power bill, the groceries, and her gas and beer. She drinks everyday and should NOT because she is a type 1 diabetic. I tell her to grow up and stop playing high school games, and QUIT DRINKING. She blames her pain on everyone else, like she lashed out at my boyfriend when her fiance left her, only because he had helped him get his stuff. I really can't blame the guy, and I told her so. She blamed her pain on her ex-fiance when she should be blaming herself. She is older than me by 3 years and I am surprised that she doesn't know yet you can't treat people as your playthings. What gives?
you seem very sensible unlike your "friend" i think you should try to get her help from some professional about her drinking problem and possibly other relationship problems. then if it still doesn't help or she won't see a professional i think you should get her out of your life. you don't need people like that in your life . they just make it hard on you and will bring you down too. remember that you can't help everyone so if she won't get help it's not your fault or responsibility. just don't let her take over your life too! good luck with your friend!
